About

Prior to working as a Psychologist, Cassie worked as a Middle School Teacher, and then as a School Counsellor.  These experiences highlighted to Cassie the importance of safe and secure attachment relationships.

Cassie believes that empathy and attunement are the most important ingredients in therapy.  She works from a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to ensure clients feel heard and validated.

Why Attachment?

Attachment refers to the early life experiences that we had with our primary care-givers. These attachment relationships have a huge impact on the emotional patterns, relationships and self-worth we develop as adults.  So it makes sense that this must be a central focus in therapy.  These early life experiences act as a lens through which we view ourselves, others and understand the world around us.

Cassie has a particular focus on attachment relationships in her sessions.  She encourages her clients to be intensely curious about their own origin stories and coping strategies.
